RH Classics > Monthly Update > November 2019 Blog

October was another particularly busy month for us, which saw a number of desirable cars pass through our workshops.  These included an E Type S1, Audi UR Quattro,  Alfa Romeo 2000 Touring Spider, 427 Cobra and an XK140 OTS for good measure.

As 2019 draws to a close, our focus is on progressing our longer term restoration projects.  These include a Ferrari 308 GTB, Jaguar 420G, Riley 9, plus the ex Sir Douglas Bader Alvis TD21 Drophead Coupe. New to the RH workshops this month is a lovely Aston Martin DB6 Vantage Mk1, currently receiving a thorough going over by our team.

Our cars for sale now include a rather lovely Triumph GT6, finished in a fantastic shade of Emerald Green, which you can read about elsewhere on our website.  The spectacular E Type V12 Roadster also awaits a new home and represents exceptional value for such a well sorted car.  We also have a fabulous 1927 Humber 14/40 Six Light Saloon in preparation for sale, possibly the nicest vintage car that £20,000 could buy.  And finally, the gorgeous 911 SC Targa we mentioned last month might well surface for sale in the near future…

Our Lola Mk6 GT project is creating much interest, especially following the launch of the Matt Damon Hollywood blockbuster ‘Le Mans ’66’, which we can’t wait to see.  It’s really just a matter of time before someone snaps up these moulds, so look out for more news very soon…

On the car sourcing front, we’re currently scouring the globe for two VERY special sports racing cars; one from the early 50’s and another from the mid 60’s. We’re at an early stage for both, so more news will follow very soon, but each represents a genuine benchmark in motor sport history.  We might not shout about it, but we’re very connected when it comes to finding exceptional examples of rare and desirable cars.

And on a related note, we are delighted to welcome a new member to the RH team; Lee Marshall joins us to take care of sales and sourcing.  A very familiar face to us; Lee’s been a friend and customer of our business for almost 20 years, so his joining us is almost inevitable.

In that time, he’s entrusted us to look after the many, many cars that have passed through his ownership.  These include Mk1, 2 and 7 Jaguars, E types, Cobras, 911’s, an XK120 OTS, an Alvis TD21, Bristol 408, TR2, MGA, Silver Shadow, MPW Coupe and a Land Rover Lightweight.  Most recently arrived is a Range Rover Classic which he’s been foolish enough to buy as his everyday driver.  We suspect this last one will be keeping us pretty busy in the workshop…

Lee is an absolute stickler for well sorted, period-correct cars and joins us from the end of this month.  If you’re looking to source your next car, or indeed sell your current one, Lee looks forward to hearing from you. He can be contacted by email at sales@rhclassics.co.uk.  Alternatively, drop by and see him at our workshops to discuss your needs.

Octane Magazines’ Associate Editor Glen Waddington has entrusted his time-warp BMW 320 with us for winter storage; read more in coming editions of Octane.  Due to customer demand, we have now expanded our discrete storage facility, which means that we can now welcome more cars into our expert care, either long or short term.  If you’d like to learn more about how we can help store your car or bike in a safe, secure, fully insured environment, please get in touch.

A big thank you to all our customers who place their trust in us to look after their cars – we look forward to keeping you updated on what’s happening here at RH Classics in the coming months; there’s much to look forward to in 2020…

Richard, Eli, Rob, Richard, Lee and Kerry
