A fantastic, comprehensively restored Triumph TR6, which we’re delighted to present for sale on behalf of the current owner.
YAR783M was built on 6th November 1973 and dispatched to Henly’s of Watford on the 15th of that month. A home market, late model CR series TR6, finished in the superb period colour combination of Mimosa with black leather trim and sits on original specification steel wheels. The car retains all its factory specified features; confirmed by the accompanying BMIHT certificate.
A low mileage car, showing less than 45000 miles from new and supported by a comprehensive maintenance history, including a substantial body off restoration in 2016, with photographic evidence of all works completed.
In local ownership and maintained by us, this TR6 has benefited from substantial expenditure earlier this year, with bills totalling £5700, including a very comprehensive service and set up, with new throttle bodies, injectors and metering unit, resulting in one of the best driving TR6’s on the market today.
Cosmetically, it’s also one of the best we’ve seen, with better than factory panel fit, lovely paint and brightwork, complimented by an excellent, correct interior. If you’re looking for a car wearing oversized Minilites and a nice shiny wood rim steering wheel, you’ll need to look elsewhere; this one is just as it left the factory 45 years ago and in our opinion is all the better for it!
Much loved and properly maintained, always receiving the best of everything on a ‘money no object’ basis, evidenced by the bulging A4 box file accompanying the car, with invoices dating back to when this TR6 was just 9 years old.
Predictably, it drives just as it should, pulling like a proverbial train through all the gears and making a lovely noise in the process. It’s a proper hairy chested British sportscar in the traditional sense and we absolutely love it!

Having maintained these cars since they were just another old sports car, we really do know our TR6’s and this is genuinely one of the best we’ve encountered, finished in a desirable ‘signal’ shade and has been properly sorted for the next owner to enjoy.
