Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet 2002 manual
RH Classics is delighted to present this 996 Cabriolet on behalf of its current owner.
A beautifully presented 911 that’s been well cared for all its life, evidenced by superb paint and trim, accompanied by a comprehensive service history with Porsche and ourselves.
First registered in May 2002, this C16 UK market 996 C4 is finished in Lapis Blue with matching hard top, complimentary dark blue hood and leather trim, along with newly refurbished Sport Design alloys with coloured Porsche crests.
Having covered just 67k from new, supported by a comprehensive history file and just 3 owners since 2002 – indeed, we’ve known this car personally for the last 7 years.
The service history is comprehensive, having been cared for by Porsche OPC’s up to 50,000 miles and with us since 2013. Having covered fewer than 10,000 miles in the last 7 years, we’ve just carried out a major service and at same time, we took an oil sample, sent away for specialist analysis and the results have returned showing an engine in rude health.
Just fitted with a new clutch and dual mass flywheel assembly by independent Porsche specialist GCR Central at a cost of almost £2000. Whilst with GCR, they carried out additional due diligence, having checked for evidence of over revving (there was none) and carried out a visual inspection of the IMS bearing, which was assessed to be in very good condition.
Eminently usable; this really is a car you could happily drive every day; now old enough to be a ‘youngtimer’ classic, but one that you still really use without fear; it feels tight, well sorted and absolutely ‘factory’.
It delivers a superb driving experience; the bark of that flat six as it approaches the red line is truly intoxicating, especially with the 6 speed manual box, culminating in perhaps the ideal specification ‘real world’ 911.
Like any 911, the 996 spent time in the shadows, but that time has now passed and once again, they’re appreciated as the great cars they always were, with values rising accordingly.
The car comes complete with its original delivery pack; Guarantee, Accessories summary, Drivers manual, Porsche Assistance, Service Directory, Radio and Navigation code cards, plus PCM instruction book – everything as delivered, along with tax disks from 2003 onwards.
A superb example at £19,995, including the major service, fresh clutch and flywheel, full mechanical health check, newly refurbished wheels and headlights, along with a comprehensive detail carried out by Mark, our in-house specialist.
Based on the condition, accompanying history, significant recent expenditure, we believe our 996 is the best value example on the market and withstands close examination.
The car is in stock, fully prepared and is available for viewing at our rural workshops, located just outside of Melton Mowbray in Twyford, Leicestershire.
