We are delighted to present this gorgeous 996 model 911 Cabrio on behalf of its current owner.
First registered in May 2002, our 911 is finished in the timeless colour combination of Lapis Blue with complimentary Dark Blue hood and matching leather trim, with newly refurbished Sport Design alloys in contrasting Silver.
It’s discrete, yet utterly stunning and wears its 19 years very well indeed – put a good dateless plate on it and our 996 could pass for a car much younger, such is its condition.
The whole car presents beautifully, giving an overall impression of a 911 that’s been cosseted and well cared for all its life, evidenced by superb trim and immaculate, fully functioning powered hood, always a tell-tale sign of careful ownership in 911’s of this age.
Having covered less than 60k from new, supported by a comprehensive history file and just 3 owners since 2002.
It’s an absolutely superb driving car and with the roof down, the bark of that creamy flat six as it approaches the red line is truly intoxicating, especially with the 6 speed manual box, culminating in perhaps the ideal specification ‘real world’ 911.
996’s are eminently usable, due to their great build quality and reliability, which means this really is a car that you could happily use every day with confidence. It’s now old enough to feel like a ‘youngtimer’ classic, but one that you really can use regularly without fear; it feels utterly tight, well sorted and absolutely ‘factory’.
Many 996’s have not been consistently maintained over the years, leading to potentially expensive issues surfacing for the next unsuspecting owner. That’s not the case here; our car has always been scrupulously maintained by either Porsche themselves or by genuine marque specialists, resulting in a 911 that drives exactly Porsche intended.
Like all 911’s, the 996 spent some time in the shadows, but that time has finally passed and they can once again be appreciated as the great cars that they always were. The more you look at it, the more you realise what a great looking car the 996 Cabrio is, when it’s the right colour, which this is.
A genuinely great example of a highly desirable car that’s surprisingly practical and exceptional value at £17,495 including an oil service, newly refurbished wheels and a comprehensive body and interior detail, carried out by Mark, our in-house specialist.
The car is in stock and is available for viewing at our rural workshops, located just outside of Melton Mowbray in Twyford, Leicestershire.
