First registered in October 2000, this Tipo 338 Maserati 3200 GTA is one of just 2016 cars produced over a 3 year period between 1999 and 2002 and has covered a documented mileage of 50850 miles in its 19 year life, equating to just over 2500 miles per annum.
We maintain a number of modern-era Maserati’s and this example has been known to us for over 3 years, being owned by one of our clients locally for whom we’ve serviced and maintained this car in that time; we’re delighted to offer it onto the market on his behalf.
Finished in Grigio Alfieri Metallizzato, complimented by Crema hide, this Maserati has aged gracefully and at 20 years old, remains a stunning piece of automotive sculpture that simply gets better each time you cast your eyes over it.
The interior is well preserved and we love the way the cockpit wraps itself around the driver and a glance at the centre console-mounted Maserati clock never fails to raise a smile – a nod to the classic Maserati Gran Tourismo’s of the 1960’s.
Many 3200’s have fallen out of the main dealer or specialist network, resulting in them being inexpertly maintained, with expensive problems now beginning to surface for the next unsuspecting owner. That’s not the case here, evidenced by a comprehensive service history dating back to when the car was maintained by Maranello through to recent extensive work carried out by marque specialists Shiltech and indeed by ourselves. Additionally, the cam belts have just been replaced by a recognised Maserati specialist.
The result is a car that’s absolutely driver focused, while the noise it emits from those quad tailpipes is utterly sublime and can make the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end.
The 3200 is the car that bought Maserati back from the brink and is now a classic in its own right, with just the right balance of usability combined with a ‘specialness’ that Italian sports cars conjure so beautifully.
Well maintained examples such as this one offer blistering value for money right now, especially when finished in a timeless colour combination and supported by such a comprehensive service history.
With similar period DB7’s now picking up in value, our Maserati makes sense on every level. We’ve just had the wheels restored to original specification, along with a fresh set of Dunlop tyres.
Highly recommended at just £13,995, new cam belts and a fresh MOT. Please contact us for more details, or to arrange a viewing at our rural workshop located just outside of Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.
