First registered in October 2000, our Maserati 3200 GTA (tipo 338) is one of just 2016 cars produced over a three year period between 1999 and 2002 and has covered a documented mileage of 51000 miles in its 19 years life, equating to just over 2500 per annum.
We maintain a number of modern era Maserati’s and this particular car has been known to us for over 3 years, being owned by one of our valued clients locally and we’ve serviced and maintained this car in that time, so are delighted to offer it onto the market on his behalf.
Finished in the highly desirable Grigio Alfieri Metallizzato (metallic grey to you and I) and complimented by a lovely Crema hide, this Maserati has aged very gracefully and almost 20 years on, really does remain a stunning piece of automotive architecture, that pulls you in, the more you look at it. The interior is very well preserved and feels special in a way that a Porsche of a similar period just don’t. We particularly love the way the interior wraps itself around the driver and a glance at the centre console mounted Maserati clock never fails to make us smile – a nod to classic Maserati’s of the 1960’s.
Many 3200’s have, over the years, fallen out of the main dealer or the specialist network, resulting in them being poorly or inexpertly maintained, with lots of expensive problems now beginning to surface for the next unsuspecting owner. Happily, this isn’t the case here, evidenced by a comprehensive service history that dates back to when the car was maintained by Maranello back in the early 2000’s through to recent extensive work carried out by marque specialists Shiltech and indeed by us.
We can’t help thinking that well maintained examples such as this one really do offer quite blistering value for money right at this moment in time, especially when finished in such a timeless colour combination as this, sitting on desirable 19 inch wheels and backed up by such a comprehensive service history. We’ve now sourced a set of restored, original specification wheels, which we will also supply within the asking price.
With similar period DB7’s now picking up in value, this car makes sense on both an emotional and potentially financial level. Highly recommended at £15,995, fully serviced and MOT’d for a year. And if you’re not convinced, just say the words ‘why don’t we take the Maserati’ and see how that makes your heart beat just a little bit faster.
